Blake Jarwin (PFF rank: 31st)

Of the players on the list, this is the one that is likely the hardest to understand how Blake Jarwin made the list over Dawson Knox. The reason is that Jarwin played a total of 25 snaps last year, had one reception for 12 yards, before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Prior to that season, Jarwin’s numbers aren’t exactly that much better than Knox as he had 31 receptions, 365 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. As PFF notes, Jarwin isn’t even guaranteed the starting job on the Cowboys and will need to beat out Dalton Schultz.

These are two players who are very similar in that they are more athletic pass-catching type tight ends. While the Buffalo Bills tight end isn’t undoubtedly better than Jarwin, there needs to be some credit given to recency, and the fact that Knox played this past year while Jarwin played only a handful of snaps needs to be taken into account.

Next. Gabriel Davis should be the starter in 2021. dark

This is why this is probably the one player that Dawson Knox should have replaced and 31st seems like the right spot to rank him in the NFL.
