Adam Trautman (PFF rank: 30th)

One player that Dawson Knox had more stats than that was ranked higher than him was New Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman. The rookie last year had only 15 receptions, 171 receiving yards, and one touchdown.

Trautman proved to be a sure-handed receiving option for the Saints with a catch rate of 93%, which is something that Knox has struggled with. PFF also credits the Saints’ tight end in being a good blocker in the run game.

This is an area that has been inconsistent for Knox as he has shown he could be a good blocker but at times gets too ambitious and is called for penalties.

Even if Trautman is a better blocker, Knox is the better receiving tight end at their points in their career, and the Buffalo Bills tight end should have been ranked higher than Trautman.
