Running Back (4)

Zack Moss, Devin Singletary, Matt Breida, Taiwan Jones

The Buffalo Bills have a number of running backs on the roster who could make a case to make the 53-man roster. Based on prior rosters, the Bills have kept four running backs on the 53-man roster with only three active on game days.

After not drafting any running backs during the 2021 NFL Draft, the top of the depth chart is expected to remain the same with Zack Moss and Devin Singletary. The only change may be the workload as Moss started to receive more snaps and touches towards the end of last year and that is a trend that is expected to continue.

Of the three active on game day, the final spot has typically gone to a key special teams player and that is the role that Taiwan Jones serves.

This will then raise the question of where Matt Breida fits in as he is the speed threat at the position and he may only be active based on the matchup. If the Bills use the same game plan it wouldn’t be surprising to see someone like Antonio Williams replace Matt Breida as he is a younger player who has shown promise.
