Can Mac Jones get a win against the Buffalo Bills?

Now this is the wildcard of the three QB’s we’re talking about. It all depends on if Bill Belichick will put Jones into the lineup over Cam Newton, who re-signed a one-year deal with the team. Newton sure struggled in the passing game last year, and there even was a Twitter firestorm over that debate. What’s the issue is not why Jones should eventually take over for Newton, but more so when.

Jones’ only significant production came in his senior season at Alabama, which ended in a National Championship. Scouts raved about his ability to run a pro-ready/friendly offense at the college level. But is that just a product of what was around him at the college level? Only time will tell. New England went Bama-heavy in the draft, and it sure will be intriguing to see Jones’ development  in the pros.

So is Mac Jones a threat to take a win away from the Buffalo Bills?

Answer: Probably not.  As I stated earlier, there’s no real way to know if he’ll start. Even if he does get into action, this is the quarterback that’s the least threat to compete against in the AFC East. Lack of college production gives off shades of Mitch Trubisky (only one true year starting) and there are also worries on if he can make plays using his legs.
