Buffalo Bills: 14 players to watch on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft
The first round in the 2021 NFL Draft is officially in the books and the Buffalo Bills and the rest of the league turn their attention to Day 2. This will include the second and third round with the Bills currently set to have two picks, one in each round, at 61st overall and 93rd overall.
After their selection of defensive end Gregory Rousseau on Thursday night, these are some players to watch on Friday who could be good fits for the Buffalo Bills.
Running Backs
Players to Watch: Michael Carter, Chuba Hubbard
The Buffalo Bills missed out on Travis Etienne in the first round as he went 25th overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, there are a few running backs on Day 2 that can be that home run threat out of this backfield if this is a need they still want to address.
At the top is the University of North Carolina running back Michael Carter. He shared the backfield with Javonte Williams and played the role of the speed back. Carter finished with a career average of 6.6 yards per carry, including a career high of 8.0 yards per carry this past season. He is a player that they would likely have to target in the second round.
Another player who could be a big-play threat is Chuba Hubbard out of Oklahoma State. He had an incredible season in 2019 with over 2,000 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. Hubbard is a player that the Bills would likely target in the third round but the question becomes whether Hubbard is enough of an upgrade over what the team currently has.
