Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina Gamecocks

Tre’Davious White has been locking down wide receivers since he came into the league. For the Buffalo Bills, that means that one side of the field is well defended while the other is an area that could use some help.

Adjacent to White has been Levi Wallace for the past few years. Coming out of Alabama, Wallace went undrafted and was signed by the Bills. He later graduated from the practice squad to the active roster, becoming a starter in mid-2018.

While occupying the CB2 position, Wallace has made solid contributions for Buffalo, but just not the ball-hawking ones they would hope for. As a result, it is very plausible to see the Buffalo Bills move up if South Carolina’s Jaycee Horn is available.

While at South Carolina, Horn’s play pole-vaulted him ahead of other 2021 NFL Draft picks. Coming into the draft, Horn was projected to go behind Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley and Alabama’s Patrick Surtain. Horn’s ’21 season was highlighted by a pair of interceptions along with thrusting his opponents’ wide receivers into “Bermuda Triangle-type coverage” where no one was able to be found.

Similar to the hypothetical trade with Atlanta, if Horn is still available at a pick Buffalo feels comfortable trading up into, the deal starts with a first. Depending on who it is aroud the picks 11-13 range which includes the Eagles, Chargers and Vikings, any number of starters and picks could trade hands.
