Buffalo Bills: Top questions at running back before free agency
Question 3: Do the Buffalo Bills re-sign Taiwan Jones?
The final question at the position is whether or not the Bills bring back Taiwan Jones. He is a veteran running back but primarily makes an impact on special teams.
This past season was his second stint with the Bills after playing for them in 2017 and 2018. He appeared in 13 games for the Bills but played only 4 snaps on offense compared to 188 on special teams, which accounted for 45% of special teams snaps. He had six total tackles in the regular season and one in the playoffs, along with the fumble recovery on the punt team against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The question for the Buffalo Bills is whether they want to add a fourth running back who primarily only plays special teams and also will be 33 years old at the start of the 2021 season.
While Taiwan Jones played well they probably can find another younger running back that can contribute similarly to what Jones did this past season.
