Bryan Cox

The Buffalo Bills have some questions to answer at defensive end as they potentially try to bring in younger players to work into the rotation, or potentially replace, veterans like Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison who are towards the end of their careers.

A player like Bryan Cox would make sense as the third or fourth defensive end in a rotation at the position. He spent the first two and half seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers but didn’t play for Sean McDermott.

While he didn’t play for McDermott, he knows this defense well since he played for Eric Washington, who kept the scheme similar to what McDermott ran.

This year, he spent most of the season on the practice squad but was active for one game back in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He finished the game with one tackle and played 23% of the offensive snaps.

The experience in this defense could give him a good chance to make the active roster this coming season.
