Jake Kumerow

Another player who has a good chance to make the active roster this coming season is wide receiver Jake Kumerow. He started his career with the Green Bay Packers and was a surprise cut prior to the regular season.

The Bills quickly added him to the practice squad and eventually signed him to the active roster at the beginning of December. He had limited action on offense but did catch a 22-yard touchdown from Josh Allen against the Denver Broncos.

He was released on December 24th to make room for John Brown, who was returning from injured reserve. The thought was the Bills would try to sign him back to their practice squad. However, the New Orleans Saints claimed him on waivers before the Bills had the chance to bring him back.

The Saints ultimately would release him and sign him to their practice squad but Kumerow elected to return to the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.

The reason Kumerow has a good chance of making the active roster is he is a big wide receiver and gives the position some size. However, he is also a good contributor on special teams, and having that versatility gives him a better opportunity to make the active roster this coming season.
