Number 3: Quarterback

The next position that has depth concerns has to be at quarterback. The Buffalo Bills have three quarterbacks currently on the roster in Matt Barley, Davis Webb and fifth round draft pick Jake Fromm.

However, it is hard to imagine the coaching staff would be confident in any of these three being asked to step in for an extended period of time. Barkley is the most experienced but has played in only 14 games, starting seven of them, since he entered the league in 2013. In the year and half he has been with the Bills, his performance has been up and down.

The Buffalo Bills likely will keep at most three quarterbacks on the roster and if they do, that third quarterback will probably be Jake Fromm. It remains to be seen what a rookie quarterback could do in this offense with almost no offseason workouts to this point. The former University of Georgia quarterback was praised for his football IQ so there is a chance he picks up the playbook quick but it is certainly a risk going with Fromm.

That is why I think if the Buffalo Bills lose Josh Allen for an extended period of time, they may look outside of the organization, because the quarterbacks currently on the roster all have their concerns.
