If the Buffalo Bills were to lose Josh Allen to injury in 2020, these are four options the team could explore if they aren’t confident in Matt Barkley or Jake Fromm.

For the Buffalo Bills, there probably isn’t a more important player on the roster than quarterback Josh Allen. The quarterback position is always a key position for any NFL team, however Allen is a unique player with the athleticism he brings. Over the past two seasons, Allen has 1,141 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns.

As it stands right now, the Buffalo Bills don’t have another quarterback that can even come close to matching these totals. The Bills currently have three other quarterbacks on the roster in Matt Barkley, Jake Fromm and Davis Webb and all three are not much a threat on the ground.

If the Bills were forced to be without Josh Allen for an extended period of time, it would mean they would need to change up their offense to account for this or try to find another quarterback that can be a threat on the ground. It would also be important to find a quarterback that has playoff experience or been on a playoff team, as this is the expectation for this team heading into 2020.

These are four quarterbacks that the Buffalo Bills could consider in this hypothetical situation if they were to look outside the organization for a replacement for Josh Allen ranked in the order of the best options.
