Week 16 – Dawson Knox vs. Kyle Dugger

The Buffalo Bills go to New England in Week 16 to play the Patriots on Monday Night Football for their final primetime game of the season. This being their second matchup of the season, expect both teams to show their opponents something new.

The matchup to watch is between second year tight end Dawson Knox and rookie Kyle Dugger. Dugger was a Division II prospect that garnered a lot of attention because of his positional versatility and ability to ball hawk. He is listed at safety but many project him to be the big nickel corner in the Patriots defense as he has the size to be physical like a linebacker while utilizing the agility of a corner.

With 15 weeks of reps in front of this matchup, expect Dugger to have a major role on this defense by this point in the season which is what makes the Dugger vs. Knox matchup so important. Knox has about 2 inches and 30 pounds on Dugger, but Dugger’s versatility makes him a particularly difficult matchup for Knox. Expect these two to go at it in Week 16 and years to come.
