Week 17 – Tua Tagovailoa & Dolphins offensive line vs. Bills defense
With 16 weeks in between their last matchup, this contest will show the Buffalo Bills just how much Tua Tagovailoa has progressed through his rookie season. Additionally, it will emphasize the progression of his offensive line draft mates from the 2020 Draft. On top of selecting Tagovailoa, the Dolphins drafted him some future protection in Austin Jackson (USC), Robert Hunt (Louisiana), and Solomon Kindley (Georgia).
It is unclear if any of these three offensive lineman will start any games in 2020, but if they do, this is the game that the Buffalo Bills will evaluate if these 2020 Draft picks are legit. As the season moves on teams treat thier rookies less and less like rookies and start giving them professional responsibilities and expectations.
This being the final week of the regular season, the Bills can show this young roster what it takes to be successful in the NFL and bring the physicality to them from the kickoff. Although Tua may have 15 weeks of reps under his belt at this point, it will be important for the Bills to continue to generate pressure and confusion for Tua during his drop backs.
