Buffalo Bills: Re-grading each pick from the 2017 NFL Draft

Buffalo Bills fans all around the world will jump at the chance to tell you what they think of Nathan Peterman and how he is the worst quarterback the Bills franchise has ever seen.
And many of them would be right, but in Peterman’s defense, no one would have predicted how bad he was going to turn out to be given his college numbers.
During his time at Pitt, the Jacksonville, Fl., native showed that he could play after transferring from Tennessee.
In his junior season, his first with Pitt, Peterman completed 61.5% of his passes for 2,287 yards and 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His following senior season resembled much of the same as Peterman found himself in the driver’s seat of the highest-scoring Pitt offense in school history. Recording 40.92 points per game; 532 total points, Peterman completed 60.1% of his passes for 2,855 yards and 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Peterman was taken in the draft as a quarterback with tremendous potential as he showed a lot of upside while tearing up the ACC.
His professional career, on the other hand, was not very good.
Peterman was first backup to Tryod Taylor who was a fan-favorite in Buffalo. Taylor held down the starting quarterback job for 14 games, while Peterman found himself under-center for two. In those two games, things went from bad to worse quick in a Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers where he threw five interceptions in the first half.
His following year was not any better as he only started two games for the Bills, throwing seven more interceptions bringing his total to 12.
Peterman was cut by the Bills in November of 2018 and then signed by the Oakland Raiders practice squad a month later.
