Tanner Vallejo

Not every late-round draft selection can turn into the steal of the draft resulting in glory and sadly, that was the case for linebacker Tanner Vallejo out of Boise State, who was selected with the Bills sixth round pick.

During his time as a Bronco, the Penn Valley, CA., native appeared in 42 games, recording 275 total tackles. In his senior season, Vallejo received an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention, was added to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List and the Butkus Award Watch List.

Vallejo’s time in Buffalo is nothing to report on as he only made four tackles in his rookie season with the Bills.

After his rookie season, things went downhill for Vallejo.

After being cut by the Bills, Vallejo was picked up by the Cleveland Browns and was placed on the team’s injured reserve. Two months later, he was cut by the Browns and was signed by the Arizona Cardinals. Later he was cut by the Cardinals and signed by the Washington Redskins.

He would go on to be cut again and picked up again by the Cardinals in November of 2019 as the team added him to their practice roster
