5 best moments for the Buffalo Bills over the past five seasons
2017: The Snow Game
One year later, the Buffalo Bills were being led by Sean McDermott but were facing off against Jacoby Brissett, now a member of the Indianapolis Colts, for the next memorable moment.
The Buffalo Bills are no strangers to playing in snow with the stadium positioned right off the lake and in prime location for lake effect snow. However, this had to be one of the snowiest games ever played at the stadium.
The weather conditions limited what both teams were able to do and it eventually became a battle of wills on the ground. The circumstances of the game were certainly stacked against the Bills as they started with Nathan Peterman at quarterback however he was forced to leave due to a concussion and Joe Webb entered the game.
As the game went on, the Colts were making a comeback and tied the game in the closing minutes of the game. The very next drive, Joe Webb threw an interception that set the Colts up for a last second field goal to win. However, Adam Vinatieri missed that field goal sending it to overtime.
In overtime, both teams struggled to move the ball before Joe Webb connected on a miracle pass with Deonte Thompson. This then set up LeSean McCoy to find a hole and run 21 yards for the game winning touchdown.
While fans, both at the game and watching on TV, may not have always been able to see what was happening on the field, this is a game that they will surely not forget.
