Team Fit

As for how Josh Norman fits into this defense will be determined by what player the Buffalo Bills are getting. When Josh Norman was playing in Sean McDermott’s defense he was discussed as one of the premier cornerbacks in the NFL.

In the final two seasons in Carolina, Norman had 104 total tackles, 4 forced fumbles, two fumble recovering and six interceptions. In 2015, he also had two defensive touchdowns and was named to the Pro Bowl as well as a first-team All-Pro. This was the only time in his career he earned either award.

There is no question that during his time in Washington he did not play at the same level. The question is whether that was because he was declining due to physical ability or he struggled playing on a subpar defense.

At this point, Norman will have every chance to earn the starting job opposite Tre’Davious White and could find a late career resurgence due to having to only cover the opposing offense’s second best receiver.
