Dawson Knox breaks out against Bengals

These were the kind of games the front office envisioned when they selected Dawson Knox in the third round of the NFL Draft. The former Ole Miss tight end has been quiet the first two games of the season, which could be attributed to him missing a significant amount of time during training camp.

In the game against the Bengals, the rookie had a breakout game as he had three receptions for 67 yards, which was a team high, and his first career receiving touchdown. The skill set Knox brings to this offense, and if he shows he can be a consistent threat, will be a huge boost for this group.

He showed all that in Week 3 as he can be a red zone target for this offense but showed the power and speed he has on their final drive when he went 49 yards.

As the season goes on, it would not be surprising to see Dawson Knox’s role continue to grow.
