Bills need to learn how to close games out

This is arguably one of the toughest things for young teams, or teams on the rise, to learn. It is very easy for a team, once up by double digits or seemingly in control, take their foot off the gas. They start to play with less urgency and before they realize it, they are down three and left scrambling trying to comeback.

For the Bills, this hasn’t costed them a win quite yet. Last week against the Giants, the offense had a great first half and built a 21-7 lead heading into halftime. However, the offense sputtered in the third quarter and in the fourth it was a one score game after the Giants scored a touchdown.

It remains to be seen the exact reason why the Bills are not able to close games out but they can’t do this against the high caliber teams, like next week’s opponent the New England Patriots. This will be up to the coaching staff and the veterans on the team to keep the players focused.
