Is Devin Singletary ready?

Another rookie that the Bills will be looking at to play a big role in this offense is third round pick Devin Singletary. The news that the Bills were releasing LeSean McCoy as part of their cuts was certainly a shock and it puts tremendous pressure on Singletary entering this season.

McCoy has been a pivotal part, and a workhorse, for this offense for a number of years. The good news for the Bills, and one of the reasons they were likely comfortable making the move, is that they have great depth and a veteran presence with Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon on the roster.

However, the team will be looking to Singletary to provide that spark, to bring a level of big play ability that the other backs on this roster don’t have. Similar to the tight end position, it is a gamble relying on a rookie and the answer won’t come into focus until these players have a chance to prove themselves.
