Tre’Davious White/E.J. Gaines
Tre’Davious White’s first half was a bit rough. He was picked on early by Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian, who connected on big plays with Emmanuel Sanders and Bennie Fowler III, but White managed to bounce back in the second half. White made Siemian pay for picking on him all afternoon with a game sealing interception in the fourth quarter. White finished with a team high four passes defended, seven total tackles and his first interception in the NFL.
After former Bill Sammy Watkins, had an impressive Thursday night outing, finishing with six receptions, 106-yards and two touchdowns. The player the Bills got in return in the Watkins trade, E.J. Gaines continues to get better under Sean McDermott’s defense. Gaines had an all-around great game, finishing with three passes defended, seven total tackles and of course the big interception in the third quarter.
Gaines managed to hold Broncos star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to just six receptions for 98-yards and no touchdown. The upset is even more impressive with the Bills having found themselves without defensive tackle Marcell Dareus due to a foot injury. It just showed how good this defense can be.
