Pro Football Focus has released their player grades and game analysis after the Buffalo Bills beat the Denver Broncos 26-16.

Pro Football Focus does a great job deciphering which Buffalo Bills’ players played well in their game against the Denver Broncos. Pro Football Focus does a good job of figuring that out with their individual player grades for every game.

The top grade Buffalo Bills player? Defensive back, E.J. Gaines. The defensive leader received an 85.9 game grade for his play Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Here is Pro Football Focus‘ write-up for E.J. Gaines:

"“Gaines was phenomenal. He had 12 passes thrown into his coverage and yielded just four receptions for 39 yards, while also grabbing an interception. Gaines had multiple pass breakups in coverage and saw just an 8.7 passer rating when targeted.”"

The Buffalo Bills were home underdogs in their battles with Denver. The game provided us with lower player grades than usual, but it was a solid team win in a game that most counted the Buffalo Bills out of. The defense won Buffalo the game, and earned respect from various teams around the league.

Here are the top five Buffalo Bills’ game grades:

CB E.J. Gaines, 85.9 overall grade

LB Ramon Humber, 83.2 overall grade

QB Tyrod Taylor, 82.8 overall grade

CB Leonard Johnson, 81.6 overall grade

LB Preston Brown, 81.0 overall grade

Once again, four of the top five player grades are on the defensive side of the football. This comes to no surprise as the defense held Denver quarterback, Trevor Siemian, to zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

LeSean McCoy struggled once again, rushing for 21 yards and zero touchdowns. Pro Football Focus commented on the impact he had as a receiver out of the backfield. His game grade was 75.3.

Here is Pro Football Focus‘ write-up of Tyrod Taylor:

"“Taylor was under constant pressure (as expected), as the Denver rush affected him on 16-of-34 drop-backs. While he took four sacks, he didn’t make any mistakes with the ball and was able to use his feet to make big plays, finishing with a passer rating of 88.2 when under pressure. When he had a clean pocket he was nearly perfect, completing 15-of-17 passes for 127 yards and two scores, posting a passer rating of 137.0.”"

Four of the top five game grades from the Denver Broncos came on the defensive side of the football. The offensive tackle, Garett Bolles, earned a 84.7 game grade in a game where he was extremely effective.
