Cornerbacks

The Buffalo Bills will be saying goodbye to three cornerbacks this season.

CB. Stephon Gilmore did the unthinkable to Bills’ fans when he joined the New England Patriots this offseason. It was pretty well-known that the Bills were likely to move on from him, but the whole Patriots’ thing kind of surprised everyone. Gilmore was a weird situation in Buffalo. He definitely earned some respect in the league during his five years with Buffalo and his 14 interceptions are admirable, but his inconsistency didn’t match up with what he was asking for.. #24. New England Patriots. STEPHON GILMORE

#21. Los Angeles Rams. NICKELL ROBEY-COLEMAN. CB. I was definitely a little surprised when it was announced that the Bills cut Robey-Coleman. I understood it, for financial reasons, but I really liked the way he play and what he meant to this defense. He spent his first four years in the league with Buffalo after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He will join a Los Angeles Rams’ squad that saw a couple of Bills’ players added to their roster. The Bills will lose a very capable nickel corner in Robey-Coleman.

CB. Corey White joined the Buffalo Bills last offseason after spending the 2015 season with the Cowboys and Cardinals. He was a fifth round selection by the New Orleans Saints in 2012, where he spent his first three years. Last season, he appeared in 15 games and totaled 30 tackles, 2 interceptions and 4 passes defensed for Buffalo. His versatility will be missed, showing strengths as both a safety and cornerback.. #30. Free Agent. COREY WHITE

Now, let’s move on to the position that saw the most change this offseason — which is hard to believe considering it’s the position that was depleted the most heading into the offseason.
