Wide Receivers

There are 6 receivers that are leaving this offseason.

WR. Robert Woods is one of the players that I’m sad to see go. I really liked what he brought to the table and thought he was a great compliment to Sammy Watkins — when they were on the field together. If Buffalo had signed him to a long-term deal and signed the rest of the depth they did this offseason, they wouldn’t have to worry about WR in the draft too much. Woods was drafted by the Bills in the second round of the 2013 draft and spent the last four years with the team. He totaled 203 catches, 2,451 yards and 12 touchdowns over that span. He signed with the LA Rams, along with Nickell Robey-Coleman.. #10. Los Angeles Rams. ROBERT WOODS

San Francisco 49ers. MARQUISE GOODWIN. WR. Marquise Goodwin was only really effective as a deep-ball receiver and wasn’t really used elsewhere with the Bills. He was drafted by the team in the third round of the 2013 draft, just after the team drafted Robert Woods. In his four seasons with the team, he totaled 49 receptions, 780 yards and 6 touchdowns. He made a lot of big plays for the Buffalo Bills, including a couple last season — he had career highs with 29 catches, 431 yards and 3 TD including an 84-yard TD. He will be a member of the San Francisco 49ers’ offense next season.. #88

MARCUS EASLEY. WR. Marcus Easley was a fourth-round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2010 NFL Draft, becoming the first ever Connecticut Husky WR to be drafted in the NFL. He started his career on the IR for two straight seasons — yeah, you read that right. He was drafted in 2010 and made his debut in December 2012. Since then, he has mostly served as a special teams player. In 2015, he found himself on the IR again with a dislocated knee cap. He missed all of last season recovering and is now a free agent after being released on March 8th.. #81. Free Agent

WR. When the Bills added Percy Harvin to their roster in 2015, he was supposed to bring a new light to this receiving core. He would end up playing just 5 games in 2015, totaling 19 catches for 218 yards and one TD. He would retire before the 2016 season due to injury, but would come out of retirement and re-join the Bills on November 7th. He played in two games, but severe migraines landed him on the IR list. He officially retired again this offseason. He also spent time with the Vikings, Jets and Seahawks.. No. 18. Retired/Injury. PERCY HARVIN

WR. Of all the wide receivers we lost this offseason, I’m most saddened by losing Justin Hunter. A very talented, young receiver, I think Hunter is going to SHINE with the Pittsburgh Steelers — if given the chance. He wasn’t really given a shot in Buffalo, but made great use of those that were given. All in all, he appeared in 12 games for Buffalo last season. He totaled 10 catches on 24 targets, 189 yards and 4 TD. He scored a TD on 40% of his catches last season and 17% of his targets — not too bad. He spent three seasons with the Titans before joining Buffalo, where he totaled 68 catches, 1,116 and 8 touchdowns.. #17. Pittsburgh Steelers. JUSTIN HUNTER

WR. I was excited to see Greg Salas with the Buffalo Bills and thought if he didn’t get injured last season he could’ve had a breakout year — especially considering all the injuries at the position. Salas joined the team in 2015, reuniting with Rex Ryan. He spent most of his first season with the team on the IR, but looked for a big return in 2016. He scored a 71-yard TD in Week 3 vs. the Jets — his former team — but was put back on the IR a couple weeks later. The Bills officially released him on November 4th and remains a free agent.. #17. Free Agent. GREG SALAS

Moving on to the offensive line, the Buffalo Bills only have two missing links this season. Luckily, those spots have been filled this offseason.
