Buffalo Bills LT Cordy Glenn got some bad news on Monday when the team announced that he will most likely miss the entire preseason.

During Day 7 of training camp on August 6th, Buffalo Bills LT Cordy Glenn was one of few players to go down with an injury. He sustained an injury to his ankle, although at the time not much was known about the severity of it all.

After a day off on Sunday, Cordy Glenn showed up to Day 8 of training camp on Monday, August 8th. However, he was seen in a boot and not suited up to practice, which raised the question of how long we would be without our starting offensive lineman.

Later in the day, it was reported by Ian Rapaport that the left tackle is suffering from a high-ankle sprain. He added that Glenn would most likely miss the Bills’ four preseason games against the Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions. He might miss valuable reps leading up to their Week 1 matchup vs. the Ravens, but the team seems set that he will suit up for their season opener.

Ankle injuries are always scary because they can not only keep the player sidelined for a good stretch of time, but they can also stick around even after he has made his return. Although it was reported that no structural damage was done to his ankle, the Bills need to be cautious with Glenn. An injured offensive lineman won’t do Tyrod Taylor and our running backs any good as far as protection goes.

On Monday, Glenn continued to work with trainers on the sideline — in his boot — while the rest of the team practiced.

The Bills also saw another injury to their offensive line on Monday, although this one isn’t as much of a scare to the team. Richie Incognito left the practice with sore ribs. With two of Tyrod’s best body guards now injured, the Bills can only hope that they see them back sooner than later.

In their absence, Cyrus Kouandjio was getting valuable first-team reps in place of Glenn, while Fernando Velasco and Ryan Groy were seen at left guard with first-team. It’ll give the Bills a good look at their depth, although we hope we don’t have to use it.
