Drafted with the first overall pick in the 1993 draft,

lasted nine seasons with the New England Patriots, with only the final two with Belichick. Buffalo had the 14th pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, and traded it for what some considered to be the savior of the Bills who already had a good defense up to this point. The man was far from it, though he did start all 48 games the Bills played in. The most memorable? A debacle only Buffalo could produce, losing to Pittsburgh’s third-stringers AT HOME 29-24 in a win-and-in situation for the 2004 playoffs. The Steelers would go on to lose in the AFC Championship game that season, to none other than Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Bledsoe finished his tenure in Buffalo with a 23-25 record, throwing for 4,359 yards in his first season, and then never eclipsing the 3,000 mark in his final two seasons in Western New York, failing to stay healthy.
