It was EJ Manuel‘s first career start as a Bill, as Brady and Belichick brought their boys to town for a Sunday afternoon bout with Buffalo. It looked like it was going to be yet another beatdown, as New England took a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. But Manuel and company turned it on, scoring 21 of the next 28 points, including a dime-dropper of a pass to Stevie Johnson in the third quarter to give Buffalo a 21-17 lead heading into the final 15 minutes. But the Bills did what the Bills do best in these games against New England, and that’s choke it away. Stephen Gostkowski kicked two fourth-quarter field goals, the latter with five seconds left from 35 yards out to give the Patriots a 23-21 victory.
