Let’s be real: a lot of people love football because it’s the easiest and funnest sport to gamble on. And there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s no doubt about it: it’s good to be a Buffalo Bills fan right now. First place in the AFC East…an extremely likable roster of scrappy underdogs…an explosive, entertaining offense…finally beating those freaking Patriots. Who could ask for anything more? Another Bills victory means we need to award another game ball to Buffalo’s MVP of the game. Last week voters here at BLD selected RB Fred Jackson for the honor, and he’ll be a candidate again this week. A ton of players worthy of praise after Buffalo’s huge Week 3 win over New England, but only one can get our game ball for the week. In my post yesterday, I stated the Bills cannot afford to fall behind early against the Patriots and that’s exactly what they did today. But, and that’s a big but, the Bills came back without any quit in them. Fitz was firing on all targets. He’s a gunslinger and that is what this team needs. The Bills receivers are coming up big. Can you believe it? The much anticipated showdown between the Patriots and the Bills started as you might have expected: with the Pats totally dominating.  Halfway through the second quarter, the Bills were down 21-0 and Tom Brady was doing whatever he wanted. It was looking like another Pats-Bills blowout. Then it started. Stevie Johnson caught a touchdown to make it 21-7. After a Brady interception, the Bills marched right down the field to kick a field goal to make in 21-10 at the half.
