When you think of the Buffalo Bills, the first player that comes to mind is Josh Allen, or should I say the rightful MVP from last season. Without him, the Bills are not elite and he has set the standard of what it takes to be one of the best in the game. He can win with or without star players around him and this season, he is off to a great start.

In two games this season, the Bills have had to rely on the greatness of Josh Allen to get the win. In Week 1 against the Ravens, Allen had to carry the Bills late in the 4th to help the Bills win 41-40. Then in Week 3 against the Dolphins, he had to make some big plays to help the Bills escape the Dolphins with a 31-21 win.

With New England coming into town for Sunday Night Football, the Bills may have to rely on Allen to win this game if it gets close, especially if the defense continues to heavily struggle.

Josh Allen predicted to carry Bills to victory vs. Patriots in Week 5

Ryan Heckman of NFL Spin Zone recently predicted that Patriots’ quarterback Drake Maye “sets career-high against the Bills defense, but Josh Allen gets the last laugh.” Ultimately, Heckman is saying that while Maye will have a phenomenal game, it will be Allen that is the quarterback celebrating the win. Here’s what Heckman said:

"The Bills defense has continued to be their Achilles heel at times, and coming off a huge performance in Week 4, Drake Maye steps it up even more with a career-high 4 passing touchdowns (previous career-best was 3).

Josh Allen, though, takes advantage of the Patriots' bottom-10 passing defense and combines for four touchdowns of his own in a Bills win."

Allen has put up 4 total touchdowns in a game once this season back in Week 1 so it wouldn’t be surprising for him to do it again. The hope is that it doesn’t come down to Allen having to put the Bills on his back but if it does, fans are in for a thrilling end that hopefully ends in the Bills going 5-0, and 3-0 in the AFC East.
