The NFL schedule is officially confirmed and the Buffalo Bills now know when they will play their designated opponents. Don’t kid yourself, the Bills have a tough schedule ahead of them just based on the home opponents alone. They will be hosting teams like the Chiefs, Eagles, Ravens, Bengals, and Buccaneers.
At the same time, that should not scare them or Bills Mafia because Buffalo is one of the top teams in the NFL as well. While Bills fans may think “I can’t believe we have to face the (insert team)”, other teams and their fans are also saying “I can’t believe we have face the Bills”. With that being said, we take a look at the Bills' 2025 schedule with full analysis.
Buffalo Bills 2025 schedule and analysis
Week 1: vs. Baltimore Ravens (Sunday Night Football) - 8:20PM EST
Sunday, September 7th
Right out of the gate, we have a Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson divisional round rematch from last season where the Bills sent the Ravens home early. Baltimore got the best of the Buffalo in the regular season, but it was the Bills who got the last laugh when it mattered the most. We've got a Sunday Night Football epic showdown between the top two quarterbacks from 2018 class in Buffalo. It doesn't get any better.
Week 2: @ New York Jets - 1PM EST
Sunday, September 14th
The first away game is just on the other side of New York State as the Bills travel to take on the newly revamped Jets. Buffalo gets to see Justin Fields and Aaron Glenn early on in the season. This is the first AFC East matchup for the Bills in 2025.
Week 3: vs. Miami Dolphins (Thursday Night Football) - 8:15PM EST
Thursday, September 18th
The NFL gives the Miami Dolphins a huge schedule break by having them come to Buffalo early on in the season rather than in the snow. However, they made up for it by putting it on primetime to kick off Week 3 on Thursday Night Football. The Bills have completely owned the Dolphins under the Josh Allen-era so this will be a fun game for Bills Mafia under the lights.
Week 4: vs. New Orleans Saints - 1PM EST
Sunday, September 28th
The Bills are back at home to host new head coach Kellen Moore and the New Orleans Saints. With the recent retirement of Derek Carr, the Saints are entering the 2025 season with arguably the worst quarterback room. Unless they can get that fixed immediately, the Bills could have a lot of fun in this matchup.
Week 5: vs. New England Patriots (Sunday Night Football) - 8:20PM EST
Sunday, October 5th
A third consecutive home game for the Bills and it's on primetime with the newly improved New England Patriots. After having a very busy offseason, which involved a revamp of the coaching staff and the roster, the Patriots are looking to get back to relevancy. On the other hand, the Bills are looking to keep the AFC East and not give it back to the Patriots, who had the division for nearly 20 years.
Week 6: @ Atlanta Falcons (Monday Night Football) - 7:15PM
Monday, October 13th
Buffalo is finally back on the road for a Monday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. I'll be honest, I didn't think this would play out but here we are. The NFL must really believe in the Falcons to put them in this primetime spot to host the Bills.
Week 7: BYE WEEK
Week 8: @ Carolina Panthers - 1PM EST
Sunday, October 26th
Sean McDermott heads down to Carolina, the team he used to be the defensive coordinator for before coming up to Buffalo. The Panthers could be a sneaky good team, and this could ultimately be considered a trap game for the Bills.
Week 9: vs. Kansas City Chiefs - 4:25PM EST
Sunday, November 2nd
Ah, finally. We’ve got the game that the entire NFL wants to see. The Chiefs are coming back to Buffalo for an AFC championship game rematch from last season where the Chiefs (once again) knocked the Bills out of the playoffs. This will be the game of the week and it won’t even be close.
Week 10: @ Miami Dolphins - 1PM EST
Sunday, November 9th
The Bills head down to south beach for a second matchup with the Dolphins. Just like how Miami avoided playing in the snow, the Bills should be able to avoid playing in the scorching heat. This could be a moment in the schedule where the Bills could run away with the AFC East if everything goes as planned.
Week 11: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 1PM EST
Sunday, November 16th
While the Dolphins got out of having to play in colder Buffalo weather, that can’t be said for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are coming up to Buffalo for this mid-November matchup. Much like the Bills with the AFC East, the Bucs are in control of the NFC South but this game could put a dent in their plans to win their division once again.
Week 12: @ Houston Texans (Thursday Night Football) - 8:15PM EST
Thursday, November 20th
In Buffalo’s final primetime game of the regular season, they are on the road where they will head down to Houston to take on C.J. Stroud and the Texans. Last season, even though the Texans won off of a game-winning field goal, it should have been a lot more considering how the Bills were playing. Buffalo needs to come swinging out of the gate in this AFC showdown.
Week 13: @ Pittsburgh Steelers - 4:25PM EST
Sunday, November 30th
The Bills aren’t traveling far in Week 13 as they are heading to Acrisure Stadium to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s been a very strange offseason for the Steelers. They still don’t have a reliable quarterback under center despite trading for star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. Now, maybe it’s only a matter of time before the Steelers do actually sign Aaron Rodgers. Until then, the Steelers are no threat offensively.
Week 14: vs. Cincinnati Bengals - 4:25PM EST
Sunday, December 7th
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals come to town in this Week 14 afternoon matchup in what could be a huge matchup for playoff seedings. The Bengals have gotten the best of the Bills in their last couple of matchups, but Buffalo has the better overall roster (and can actually get their defense to make a stop).
Week 15: @ New England Patriots - 1PM EST
Sunday, December 14th
It feels like every season that the Bills play the Patriots in Foxborough in December. Well, it’s happening again. These two played in Buffalo earlier this year and maybe, just maybe, this could be a game for the division if both teams are dominant throughout the season.
Week 16: @ Cleveland Browns - 1PM EST
Sunday, December 21st
The Bills are back on the road right before Christmas but won’t have to travel far at all as they head to Cleveland to take on the Browns, the team who drafted two rookie quarterbacks including Shedeur Sanders. Who knows what Cleveland is doing and quite frankly, I would be very surprised if this was a close game.
Week 17: vs. Philadelphia Eagles -4:25PM EST
Sunday, December 28th
It’s very strange to see this matchup happening late in the season, but maybe this will be the true end of the season thriller that the NFL needs right before the end of the regular season. The defending Super Bowl champs come to Buffalo in a game where both teams could be competing for the #1 seed in their respective conferences.
Week 18: vs. New York Jets - TBD
Sunday, January 4th
Just like when the Bills opened up Rich Stadium against the Jets, they are set to close out the regular season at home against the Jets. Much like last season, if the Bills are locked into a certain seed and no matter the outcome of this game, we just might see the starters get rested completely or after one drive (maybe even one play).
