Yesterday was the first time that Bills Mafia had the chance to see the Buffalo Bills in their new stadium that will debut this season. For many years, the Bills were competing across the street at the original stadium, otherwise known as “The Ralph” Now, with it being a new era in the organization, having a new stadium just adds to it.
While fans got to see a live practice, as well as the brand new stadium, they also unfortunately had to see two key players in Connor McGovern and Ty Johnson go down with injuries that kept them out of practice the rest of the time. Having those injuries pop up is not great whatsoever, and fans should be hoping that they aren’t anything too serious.
Even though those injuries were the main topics that fans are going to be talking about, there is another factor that Bills fans should be aware of that is on a positive note.
Tyler Bass has fantastic practice in front of Bills Mafia after missing all of 2025
The Bills went all of last season without their main kicker in Tyler Bass, as he was dealing with a pelvic injury. It was Matt Prater kicking for the Bills last year, and he made a very good impression on Bills Mafia. With that being said, Bass is expected to be the main kicker.
During Saturday's practice at the new stadium, Andy Young from Spectrum News 1 reported that Bass managed to go a perfect 8-for-8 on field goal tries, which is a great sign for what is to come from him this season.

Bills must hope Tyler Bass keeps up momentum from Saturday
When the Bills drafted Bass in 2020, he started off his career on a great note because of the power that he showed he had. However, as time went on, Bass started to show some inconsistency which had Bills fans starting to doubt him.
During his last season that he was active for the Bills in 2024, he missed five extra point tries and missed four field goal tries between 40-49 yards. The good news now is that Bass recently talked about how he is feeling great and it's partially due to the coaching staff setting him up for the best success.
For the fans that managed to see Bass during Saturday’s practice, this is a positive note to keep in mind going into preseason and the regular season. Now granted, there needs to be consistency on Bass’ end because if we start to see what we saw in 2024, the Bills are once again going to be in the same situation with special teams that they were part of during the 2024 season.
