Well, we officially have a controversial topic that was brought up by a top NFL draft prospect in edge rusher Landon Jackson. Coming out of Arkansas, Jackson could very well hear his name on the first night of the draft, and there may be an opportunity for the Bills to draft him. However, Bills fans may have a different opinion based on a statement that Jackson made.
Jackson went on the Up & Adams show with Kay Adams, and was asked a unique question; which quarterback is tougher to take down, Jayden Daniels or Josh Allen?
Both Daniels and Allen are coming off phenomenal seasons. Daniels was voted as the Offensive Rookie of the Year and Allen was voted as the MVP of the league. Both dynamic playmakers have different strengths and they each are threats to opposing defenses. However, Landon Jackson made a surprising comment that Jayden Daniels is tougher to take down than Josh Allen.
Landon Jackson's bold take is completely wrong
There is no question that Daniels is a fantastic player who can be a threat in this league for the next decade. He went into a rebuilding situation in Washington and was the main reason why the Commanders made it all the way to the NFC championship game. He is a clear-cut dual threat QB who, if he stays healthy, has the potential to be the MVP.
At the same time, Jackson’s statement that Daniels is harder to take down is just clearly wrong. Allen has a bigger frame and has shown the ability to truck and leap defenders when needed. For the part of his career, Allen’s playstyle was all about making a highlight play that was a major risk for an injury.
Allen is built like a linebacker who plays the quarterback position and can run like a running back. It’s very rare to see just one defender take Allen down.
Maybe it’s because Landon Jackson hasn’t personally played against Allen, but his take is completely wrong. If Jackson ever gets the opportunity to play against Allen, he will quickly find out just how tough he is to bring down.
