The Buffalo Bills are celebrating their sixth win of the season, but this one means a bit more than the others. They were tasked to take down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and they did it very well. The Bills beat the Chiefs 28-21 in a close hard fought win that puts the Bills at 6-2 and knocks the Chiefs to 5-4.
While Buffalo did play solid football as a team, it was Josh Allen that was the difference maker for this team. He put on an MVP performance for the Bills and now Bills fans can celebrate the win this week against the team that has broken their hearts in the playoffs over and over and over.
Allen completed over 88% of his passes and had 292 total yards as well as 3 total touchdowns. Buffalo’s offense performed pretty well against a Chiefs defense that plays great situational football.
Whenever Allen and Patrick Mahomes face off against each other, fans know it’s going to be an electric matchup. This 10th faceoff between them did not disappoint.
Tony Romo compares Josh Allen to John Elway after fantastic Week 9 win
After Buffalo’s win against Kansas City, NFL commentator Tony Romo, who helped call this game, talked about Josh Allen’s skillset and compared him to John Elway. Romo said the comparison with Allen and Elway is that Allen is “rare” and “is physically gifted” just like Elway was. It was noted that the biggest difference was that Allen has yet to reach the Super Bowl, while Elway has won multiple.

Elway and Allen have a lot of comparable attributes based on how they play the game. They each have a strong arm and weren’t afraid to take a hit if it meant making a play. Really, the only difference between the two is the Super Bowls. Allen has been to two conference championship games while Elway has raised the Lombardi Trophy.
This is quite the praise from Romo to give to Allen after this fantastic victory. Now he needs to continue this momentum going into the rest of November and December, and hopefully in January and February.
