It was a boring, yet stress-less Sunday for the Buffalo Bills who got to enjoy the week off from NFL action. After ending the Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated streak in Week 11, the Bills are sitting at a comfortable 9-2 and are miles ahead of the Dolphins, Jets and Patriots in the AFC East. At this point, they are in a fight for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
While enjoying the week off, it is still important to see what happened in various games when it comes to other AFC opponents. Teams like the Chiefs, Texans, Ravens, and Steelers are still in the hunt for the top seed in the conference so while Buffalo is in a great position, they should also be hoping for these teams to run into some bad luck and start losing.
One of the game results that the Bills can be happy about is between the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. In an AFC South battle in Texas, Will Levis and the struggling Titans walked into Houston and pulled off a major upset, defeating the Texans 32-27 after Tennessee’s defense came up with a big safety sack against C.J. Stroud inside two minutes.
With Houston losing this game, they fall to 7-5 on the year. After starting off 5-1, the Texans look like a mess now.
Buffalo gets major gift from Texans losing vs. Titans
The Texans own the tiebreaker over the Bills since they defeated Buffalo in Week 5 so to lose to the Titans this week keeps Houston back even more from Buffalo. The Steelers, Chargers, and Ravens all stand between the Bills and Texans in the standings and it will be important for Buffalo to stay away from the same record as the Texans.
In addition to the Texans, the Bills also have to be careful to not end with the same record as the Ravens, who also have the tiebreaker advantage over Buffalo. Either way, the Bills will remain atleast one game ahead of both Houston and Baltimore after Week 12.
