In less than one week, the NFL schedule will be released and we will soon learn when the Buffalo Bills will play certain opponents. This coming season will be the final one in at the current Highmark Stadium and there is a ton of a hope that the Bills will have the same amount of success but with it ending with the Lombardi trophy coming to Buffalo.
The Bills have a tough going when it comes to their home opponents compared to their away opponents. Here is the breakdown of the Bills’ 2025 opponents:
Home Opponents |
---|
Miami Dolphins |
New York Jets |
New England Patriots |
Baltimore Ravens |
Cincinnati Bengals |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
New Orleans Saints |
Kansas City Chiefs |
Philadelphia Eagles |
Away Opponents |
---|
Miami Dolphins |
New York Jets |
New England Patriots |
Pittsburgh Steelers |
Cleveland Browns |
Atlanta Falcons |
Carolina Panthers |
Houston Texans |
Looking at the home opponents, this might be the toughest group of teams the Bills will play at home in a long time. You have two teams from the AFC North and both of the Super Bowl representatives from last season. As for away opponents, it’s definitely not as tough for them.
Last season, the Bills had five primetime games and considering the success they had last year, fans shouldn’t be surprised to see the Bills get atleast five primetime games again. While being on primetime is a lot of fun as the whole country is watching, it is tough staying up late especially if it’s a game that is down to the wire.
With the Bills being in five primetime games in 2024, I have them being in five primetime games in 2025 as well but next Wednesday at 8PM EST will confirm it all.
Predicting the Buffalo Bills' 2025 primetime schedule
Week 1: SNF vs. Baltimore Ravens
Right out of the gate, we have an AFC divisional round rematch between the Bills and the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. In two of the last five seasons, the Bills have started their season in primetime; TNF vs. Los Angeles Rams in 2022, MNF vs. New York Jets in 2023.
The Ravens gave the Bills a big beatdown in Week 4 last season, but it was the Bills that got the last laugh in the playoffs when they escaped with a 27-25 win after Mark Andrews dropped a wide open two-point conversion that sent Baltimore home early.
This would be an easy pick for game of the week and it’s a perfect start for the Bills to set the tone against an opponent that they typically don’t match well up against.
Week 5: TNF @ New England Patriots
There is no doubt that the Patriots are coming into 2025 as the most improved team across the NFL. They have a new head coach in Mike Vrabel and they improved so much on defense while adding some offensive help through the draft.
I’ll even go as far to say that they will be the team in the AFC East that could potentially challenge the Bills the most for the division. Will they be a serious threat? Not at all, but they won’t be far behind either.
To kick off the second quarter of the season, Week 5 begins in Foxborough where the Patriots host the bitter rival Bills in Gillette Stadium on Thursday Night Football.
Week 8: SNF vs. Philadelphia Eagles
This is the biggest primetime matchup for the Bills of the season. They welcome in the defending Super Bowl champs who are looking to repeat. The last time the Eagles and Bills played each other was in 2023 where it went into a thrilling overtime with the Eagles coming out on top, 37-34.
That game was in Philadelphia, now these two will meet in Western New York. The Bills have the chance to send the Eagles back to Philly with a loss and it would be a huge win for the Bills on Sunday Night Football.
Week 9: MNF vs. Cincinnati Bengals
One week right after hosting the Eagles on Sunday night, the Bills are back in primetime for a Monday Night Football battle where they welcome in the Cincinnati Bengals. Much like the Ravens, the Bills usually don’t match up well against the Bengals. In their last two meetings, Buffalo has been dominated by Cincinnati and the Bengals have their ferocious pass-attack for the future with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins.
However, how can you not have a Joe Burrow vs. Josh Allen faceoff in primetime? This will be a big matchup for the Bills in as the race for the playoffs truly begins.
Week 12: SNF vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The final primetime game for the Bills comes against no one else better than Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. There’s really no words to say about this rivalry between the Bills and the Chiefs. However, we are at the point where it no longer matters what happens when they face off in the regular season. It’s all about the playoffs.
The Bills welcome in the Chiefs for a Sunday Night Football battle in front of Bills Mafia in what could be the Bills’ final primetime regular season game in the current Highmark Stadium.
