No matter how much talent a team has, it can only go so far because the most important unit that is on the field is the offensive line. Too many times, we have seen teams fall apart despite having a great quarterback and great weapons simply because the offensive line was not solid enough to provide consistent protection.

Early on in the Josh Allen era, the Buffalo Bills had a shaky offensive line but have since vastly improved it as they haven’t just created continuity, but they have established themselves as one of the better units in the entire league.

Heading into the 2026 season, we have put together our power rankings of the offensive lines within the AFC East. Do the Bills have the best unit in the division? Let’s find out.

Offensive line power rankings for AFC East heading into 2026

4.) Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins land at the bottom of this list simply because we don’t know how they will look under a new regime. Even though the only notable addition that the Dolphins made in this unit was Kadyn Proctor through the draft, the total revamp of the roster puts this unit up in the air on how good they will be.

Aaron Brewer is one of the better centers in the league, but with the uncertainty with the Dolphins overall, they land at the bottom of this power ranking.

3.) New England Patriots

Even though the New England Patriots were just in the Super Bowl, Drake Maye was sacked 47 times in the regular season which was the fourth-worst only behind Justin Herbert (55), and both Cam Ward and Geno Smith (55). In addition, Maye was sacked 21 times in the playoffs which included 6 times in the Super Bowl agaisnt the Seahawks.

It was very tough to not put them at the bottom of this list, but there is continuity returning. The Patriots also signed Alijah Vera-Tucker in free agency and drafted Caleb Lomu in the draft, so there is a little bit of hope. Either way, New England's offensive line has a lot of work to do to prove themselves in 2026.

2.) New York Jets

Even though almost no one is expecting much from the Jets (once again), their offensive line believe it or not is one of the more steadier units in the division and even in the league. They have young tackles that have shown promise and one of the better guards in Joe Tippmann, who received a four-year extension this past offseason.

With Frank Reich calling the offense, there should be an expectation that he will get the best out of this offensive line and as long as they stay healthy, they should surprise a lot of people.

1.) Buffalo Bills

Even though the Bills will have to find a replacement at LG, they have the best unit in the league because of what they have been able to do the last few years. They have helped Josh Allen win his first MVP award back in 2024, and have also helped James Cook lead the league in rushing touchdowns and rushing yards in the last two seasons.

Not to mention, the Bills also brought in Pat Meyer as their next offensive line coach, who worked under Aaron Kromer in his career. The continuity factor and overall talent gives the Bills the top spot in our power rankings.
