One of the biggest storylines entering minicamp for the Buffalo Bills was whether or not former All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs would be in attendance. To this point, Diggs has not participated in any offseason workouts but those are voluntary and didn't seem to be much of an issue.

On Tuesday, head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that the Stefon Diggs was not in attendance and he described it as "very concerning."

However, it remains to be seen if Diggs is actually holding out because according to Adam Benigni with WGRZ, Stefon Diggs was at headquarters yesterday for pre-minicamp medical testing. It would seem that if he was holding out that he won't come to Buffalo for that.

The reason that this was a storyline was that the last time Buffalo Bills fans saw Stefon Diggs was in the AFC Divisional Round game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was seen on the sidelines appearing to be yelling at Josh Allen after he wasn't very productive in the game with only four receptions for 35 yards on 10 targets.

Stefon Diggs has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL since joining the Buffalo Bills

Stefon Diggs' absence is notable as he is probably the most important player on this offense after Josh Allen. The Buffalo Bills traded for Diggs before the 2020 season and over the past three years has been the team's leading receiver.

In 2020, he led the league in receptions and receiving yards and has surpassed 1,200 receiving every season in Buffalo. He has made the Pro Bowl each season and has ranked near the top in targets in the NFL.

If Stefon Diggs is demanding a trade, it creates a major hole in this offense that at this point of the offseason would be almost impossible to replace.
