With Josh Allen's seventh season approaching, his career so far has been nothing short of incredible, yet unappreciated. Some players are arguably not as important to their team as Allen is to the Bills but have received accolades based on their statistics.
Since 2020, Allen has accounted for at least 40 touchdowns in the regular season for four straight seasons, the only player in NFL history to accomplish that. Allen has also been statistically one of the best playoff quarterbacks in NFL history, scoring 27 total touchdowns with only six total turnovers.
Due to all of the released players and trades, Allen is on a different team and probably the youngest team he has been on in his entire career. Allen now has to prove that he can still be the same dominant player he was for the past four seasons, and quiet the narratives about him being nothing without Stefon Diggs.
There is a little theme that Allen has been going through early in each regular season. The first game of each season can typically go either way, as he's 3-2 in his career as a week one starter. However, after Week 1, Allen has some stretches to where he's dominant from Weeks 2-5, but that could change based on this year's schedule.
Some of Allen's best games have come against the Dolphins, as he always seems to play well against them. Allen also plays well against top defenses in the league.
Based on all these criteria and the schedule, these are my predictions on what Allen's best games of the regular season will be.
Allen's Third Best Game: @ Houston, Week 5
This will be a worthy matchup between the Bills and the Texans, as they will travel to Houston and face their old teammate Stefon Diggs. This is a game that most fans will pay attention to. Not just for entertainment purposes, but for two former teammates to go after each other.
Typically, during high-pressure games, Allen plays his best. Allen will also be playing a young and talented Texans defense that may have trouble containing Allen
Allen's Second Best Game: vs. Tennessee, Week 8
Allen's history against the Titans is pretty even, as he's 3-2 against them in the regular season, and has an 11-5 touchdown to interception ratio against them. However, the Titans ranked 17th in total defense last season and most likely won't rise the rankings too much, even with the addition of L'Jarius Sneed.
The Titans have also lost their best offensive player, Derrick Henry in free agency, so they will likely have some growing pains offensively with second-year quarterback Will Levis leading the offense. The Bills defense will likely feast against the Titans offense, giving the Bills' offense good field position, leading Allen to score at will.
Allen's Best Game: @ Miami, Week 2
Allen is 9-2 against the Dolphins in his career and has a 33-7 touchdown to interception ratio against them in the regular season, not counting his other three rushing touchdowns. Allen has had his way with the Dolphins and will likely continue to do so on September 12th of this year.
Although the Dolphins are home, this game is played during primetime so it will be a high-pressure situation and there won't be any humidity advantage for the Dolphins. However, that doesn't mean that the Dolphins will be slowing down either, as they still have an electric offense that's very difficult to defend so this game may be a high scoring affair.
