Kenny Golladay is perfect free agent for Buffalo Bills to add before training camp

The seemingly never-ending saga between the Buffalo Bills and DeAndre Hopkins came to an end when the former All-Pro signed with the Tennessee Titans. However, if the Bills want to still add a veteran wide receiver before training camp there may not be a better option than Kenny Golladay.

At this point of the offseason, most of the top wide receivers know where they are going to be playing for the 2023 season. The focus should be on finding the player who has the highest upside with the lowest amount of risk and this is why Kenny Golladay should be the target for the Bills.

In his first four seasons with the Detriot Lions, Kenny Golladay looked like he had a promising career ahead of him with back-to-back 1,000 receiving-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019 while leading the league in receiving touchdowns in 2019.

Golladay would only play five games in 2020 due to injuries before signing a big free agent contract with the New York Giants. Unfortunately, the two years with the Giants weren't any better as he had only 43 receptions, 602 receiving yards, and one touchdown in 23 games.

Why should the Buffalo Bills sign Kenny Golladay?

On the surface, it doesn't seem to make much sense as Golladay hasn't had an impactful season since 2019. However, at this point of the offseason it is tough to find starters and the Bills should be looking for high upside players and the potential is still there for Kenny Golladay.

Entering this season he will only be 30 years old so he theoretically still has some football ahead of him. Golladay also brings some good size to the wide receiver position at 6'4" and 214 pounds that alongside Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox will be tough for defenses to line up against.

The Buffalo Bills don't necessarily need to add to wide receiver and at this point it seems unlikely that Kenny Golladay would make the 53-man roster. However, if there is one wide receiver that has the highest ceiling and somehow plays at the level he did earlier in his career, it could be a difference maker for this offense.
