The Buffalo Bills put the absolute smackdown on the Miami Dolphins to move to 2-0 on the year and to take an early lead in the AFC East. While some Bills fans might have predicted Josh Allen to be the reason this team would take down the 'Fins, Thursday night was all about James Cook.

Cook is in his third year with the Bills and had an incredible game on Thursday night, rushing for 78 yards and hauling in 17 yards through the air. Cook had three total touchdowns on the night and Bills fans loved seeing him put up such a dominant performance against a division rival.

During his postgame presser, Allen spoke to the media and said that Cook had been begging the quarterback for more touches at the goal line for quite some time now. Allen shared that Cook was annoyed that his quarterback kept stealing all the goal line touches so he was happy to share the wealth with his running back.

Cook had a good Week 1 performance as well but didn't have the touchdowns to cap it off. That's certainly not the case this week, as the running back put up the yards and had the touchdowns to really put the exclamation point on his Week 2 performance.

The Bills now get over a week off to prep for their Week 3 match-up against the Jaguars, who could end up being 0-2 by that point. Bills fans can now kick back and relax this weekend while watching the rest of the Week 2 match-ups.

NFL seasons are a marathon and not a sprint but so far, things are going great for Cook and the Bills. Let's hope he can keep this production up later in the season when the games become even more important.
