Remember the times this past offseason when the Buffalo Bills were pinned as a team that was going to have a tough time on offense because of losing some of their weapons? Even the comments about how Josh Allen and how he has no one great to throw the ball to was talked about a lot. Through three weeks of the NFL season, those comments are nowhere to be found.

The Bills have shown the NFL that they can play anyone without any big names on the roster. When Buffalo opted to let Gabe Davis walk in free agency and trade away Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, it opened up massive concerns for the Buffalo offense in terms of the passing attack. However, with the “everybody eats” mentality, it doesn’t matter who is playing just as long as the job is getting done.

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins went onto The Herd with Colin Cowherd and discussed how the Bills are no longer predictable. Dawkins talked about how the Bills used to be predictable in previous seasons, but now this team in 2024 is different because “no one knows where the ball is going.”

Buffalo Bills new-look offense looks unstoppable

You can see a huge difference in Josh Allen’s play as compared to previous seasons. He has seven passing touchdowns to zero interceptions and has completed 75% of his passes. While Khalil Shakir has been Allen’s go-to target this season (14 targets, 14 receptions, 168 yards and 2 touchdowns), Allen has spread the ball around to other weapons around him.

In Week 2 against Miami, Allen completed passes to 9 different targets. Then this past Monday night against Jacksonville, Allen completed passes to 10 different targets.

Not to mention, the Bills have been able to establish a rushing attack between James Cook and Ray Davis which takes massive pressure off of Allen. Dawkins’ comments about this new look offense should get Bills fans excited for the rest of the season. We don’t know who the Bills will target on each play and it looks like the vibes are at a high within the locker room.

The main goal for the Bills each week is to win and do whatever it takes to do so. So far, they have delivered and it has been demonstrated with two blowout victories. Buffalo will be looking to take this new-look offense into Baltimore in what will be their biggest challenge of the season so far and see if their momentum will continue.
