4 - New Jersey Jets

On paper, the Jets could claim the most talented roster in the league, and they should be a very good team but until they get on the field and prove it, I have them number four in the AFC. It's hard for me to rank them ahead of my top three until we see what they look like in a real game. They'll get an early opportunity to show what they are made of against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

3 - Cincinnati Bengals

This is another ranking that I know I'm going to catch some heat for, but the Bengals lost both of their safeties and a solid number two RB in Samaje Perine. Can Mixon carry the load for the run game and how will the Bengals secondary look with two new faces back there? Their offense should be just as dangerous as it's ever been but I'm not so sure about the defense.

2 - Buffalo Bills

The Bills made several key free agent signings, though not splashy but solid players to bolster an already talented roster. Last season, the Bills went through a ton of off-the-field situations and injuries to key players, especially on the defensive side of the ball. If they can stay healthy this season, Buffalo's defense could be one of the best in the NFL. The biggest question mark in Buffalo is the offensive line. If the line can figure it out, Buffalo will be tough to beat week in and week out.

1 - Kansas City Chiefs

You know what they say until someone knocks them off, they are the cream of the crop. The Chiefs have some concerns, like any team but they showed last season they could overcome those "questions" simply with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Like the Bills though, they have some questions on the offensive line heading into 2023, with some new faces. But until they prove otherwise, they are still the team to beat in the AFC.
