Buffalo Bills' next big offensive stars: 5 breakout candidates to watch in 2024
O'Cyrus Torrence - OL
I'm a big fan of offensive linemen. The quarterback might be the key that starts the offensive engine, but the offensive line is the engine that gets it rolling. Without horsepower from the line, the offense won't get anywhere. I love Torrence on the Bills offensive line. He played well last season, but you could see he hit a bit of a wall later in the season, which is to be expected. In year two, expect Torrence to become one of the dominant guards and earn his first Pro Bowl nod.
He'll be counted on to help anchor his side of the line, and with a new center next to him, his level of play will help the new guy, whether that is Connor McGovern or Sedric Van Pran-Granger. Last season, despite earning a low overall grade of 56.0 from PFF, he allowed only three sacks on 1,163 snaps, which ranked 30th among linemen. Also, the 1,163 snaps were the second most of any lineman in the league. Pretty impressive for a rookie.
