Buffalo Bills Rumors: Bills continue to look at safeties and Mike Edwards could be up next

The Buffalo Bills reportedly already had free agent safety Julian Blackmon in for a visit this week but they may not be done yet exploring the available players at the position. According to Joel Erickson with the Indianapolis Star, free agent safety Mike Edwards will be visiting the Buffalo Bills after he visited with the Colts.

Edwards was a player that made a lot of sense for the Buffalo Bills as he has plenty of playoff experience with two Super Bowl rings (one with the Bucs and again last year with the Chiefs). He has never been a full-time starter but with both teams, he ended up having to start for an extended period of time and plays well.

In his career, he has played in 75 games with 28 starts and has eight interceptions, 26 passes defended, three sacks, and nine tackles for a loss. He will be turning 28 years old this offseason but is a veteran that could do well alongside Taylor Rapp. However, it wouldn't be necessarily stop the team from drafting a safety if one was to fall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
