Buffalo Bills News: Patrick Mahomes, Matt Milano, Kingsley Jonathan, Injury Updates
Kingsley Jonathan makes big impact without playing
It was a team effort across the board from the Buffalo Bills but one of the more impressive performances had to come from right tackle Spencer Brown. Entering Week 2, the matchup between Spencer Brown and Maxx Crosby looked like a huge mismatch in favor of the Raiders.
Maxx Crosby is an elite pass rusher and is a player that can wreck an offensive gameplan almost single-handedly. However, Brown did a great job and Crosby wasn't much of a factor the entire game.
After the game, Spencer Brown credited the performance of Kingsley Jonathan in practice leading up to the game as a reason for his strong game. According to Sal Capaccio, Brown told the Bills offensive line coach that it might have been one of the best scout team looks he has ever had.
This is an often overlooked aspect of the practice squad as these players may not be active on game day but can make an impact in how they practice to help the starters prepare for that week's game. The Bills face another great pass rusher in Chase Young and Jonathan could have another big week of practice.
