Buffalo Bills News: Christian Kirksey, Dawson Knox, Eric Bieniemy
Eric Bieniemy is a big fan of Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano
The Buffalo Bills have not regularly played the Washington Commanders, the last matchup was in 2021 and the last time they played in Washington was in 2015. However, the Bills know the Commanders offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, well.
Eric Bieniemy was a long-time offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs and he has had to gameplan against the Bills defense five times over the past three seasons. He is now in his first season with Washington and that familiarity should help him on Sunday.
On Thursday, he was asked about Matt Milano and was very complimentary, according to this tweet by Sam Fortier with the Washington Post:
Matt Milano is undoubtedly playing the best football of his career and currently has a three-game streak, dating back to last season, with an interception. As Bieniemy notes, Milano can really do it all as he is an excellent cover linebacker but also makes great plays in the run game. He is the only player in the NFL with five interceptions and at least seven tackles for a loss since 2022.
He is a key part of the defense and has worked his way into the discussion among the best linebackers in the NFL.
