Buffalo Bills given brutal stretch of games in 2023 schedule

After the 2023 NFL schedule was released, there were plenty of takeaways to be had in regards to the Buffalo Bills. First of all, Buffalo was given six primetime games this season, which was tied for the most in the league, with the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys.

Despite being given primetime favor, the Bills were not done many actual favors late in the schedule. They are going to endure a brutal 4-game stretch during the second half of the year.

This series of games is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. Three of the four teams Buffalo will face during this 4-game slate finished last year in the top five in scoring across the league.

Not only that, but the top two teams, in terms of scoring, will face the Bills in back-to-back games, with Buffalo's bye week sandwiched between. One of those teams didn't just have a top offense last year, but the league's top defense in terms of yardage given up.

A late stretch of difficult games could define the Buffalo Bills' 2023 season

For this reason, the Bills have to get off to a hot start this year. Going into these late, daunting few games, Buffalo needs to be in possession of at least seven wins. Hopefully, they can start the difficult stretch with a record of 7-3, at the very least.

The positive for Buffalo, here, is that they will ideally have star pass rusher Von Miller back in the fold, putting their defense at full-strength. With Miller back, they'll be able to take on these four teams, all with four great quarterbacks, with a higher level of confidence.

This stretch begins when the Bills face off against the New York Jets, at home, in Week 11.
