The Buffalo Bills had their first playoff game pushed back due to the winter storm impacting Western New York. It will give them an extra day to prepare for the Pittsburgh Steelers as well as give some players extra time to work through injuries and potentially play this week.

While there are still some questions about some players, there are a number of players that need to prepare to play a bigger role this week. These players could end up deciding if the 2023 season continues for another week or ends on Monday for the Buffalo Bills.

Trent Sherfield

Even though the game was pushed back, neither team changed their injury report which means the Bills are going to be without starting wide receiver Gabe Davis. The fourth year wide receiver has been inconsistent in terms of his stat line but he has been on the field for nearly 90% of the snaps this season.

That is a big hole the team has to replace and Trent Sherfield is the wide receiver likely to see the biggest bump in snaps this week. Sherfield has had a bigger role in the offense over the final month of the season as he played 50% or more of the snaps in three of the last four games after not surpassing that total in any of the previous games.

He mostly has been filling in for Stefon Diggs, who has had his snaps decrease, so if Sherfield is the player to replace Davis then Diggs might be asked to play more than usual. Last week was Sherfield's best game with the Bills as he had three receptions for 24 yards and a circus touchdown catch.
