Breaking down the all-time Buffalo Bills WRs as voted by Bills Mafia

Andre Reed - Buffalo Bills

It's probably no surprise that Andre Reed made this list but I was surprised by the fact he was never voted to a first-team All-Pro but he did make two second-team lists, in 1989 and 1990. He ranks number one in Bills' history in nearly every statistical category, including yards (13,095), touchdowns (86), and receptions (941).

Reed was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1985 NFL draft and selected 86th overall in the fourth round out of Kutztown. He was voted to six consecutive Pro Bowl teams from 1989 to 1994, tying him with Tasker with the most of any wide receiver in Bills' history. He was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2014.

Andre recorded four seasons of over 1,000 yards and while that doesn’t sound like much when compared to today’s NFL, back then this was a feat that was far less frequent and meant something.  1994 was his best season, when he tallied 90 receptions and 1,303 yards, with eight touchdowns.  He also led the league that season in yards per touch with 13.9.

Reed was an integral part of those Bills Super Bowl teams.  He was Jim Kelly’s go-to when a first down was needed and he was most known for his fearless play, going over the middle, taking the huge hits, and making plays.  Reed would have been 100 plus receptions every single year in today’s game and is very well deserving of making this Bills Mafia-voted All-Time team.
