It's Day Three of the NFL Draft and the Bills have seven picks. The first came in round four with the 128th overall selection and the Bills selected Kentucky running back Ray Davis. Buffalo adds excellent depth to the running back position with this addition. Buffalo has built a solid draft so far, filling some needs at several positions. With six more picks left, it will be a big day for Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills. Who else will they add?
I have some personal favorites, but the selection of Ray Davis is a good one. He is 5'8" and weighs 211 pounds. He will push Ty Johnson for the number two running back role. Not only is he a bigger, more powerful back, but he knows how to work in the passing game too. Here is what Bills Mafia is saying about the newest addition to the Buffalo Bills roster.
Outstanding production, and clearly a weapon in the passing game. He was the top back in FBS in 2023 with seven receiving touchdowns. He can take a short pass or screen to the house.
Wow, that is an impressive performance against high-level competition! Outstanding selection by the Bills in the fourth round. He will likely push Ty Johnson for the RB2 role.
Good size, and compact. Joe Brady will find a way to get him involved and spell James Cook. The Bills running back room is looking dangerous and versatile.
Finds the lanes and takes it for six, displaying excellent vision in the open field. Reminds me of Devin Singletary with the quickness but has brings better size and power.
First player to record 1,000+ rushing yards with two different SEC schools (Vanderbilt and Kentucky). He was also a 2023, second-team All-SEC player. An amazing story of perseverance too. Perfect culture fit with the Buffalo Bills.
